About the Community
The Community is centred upon the village of Llanbister which consists of approximately 40 dwellings.  It also has a Primary School, Public House, Community Centre, Shop and Post Office.  The Community has 292 persons on the Register of Electors.

How to get there
The Village is situated just off the A483 Swansea to Manchester trunk road in the County of Powys - 10 miles North of Llandrindod Wells and 17 miles South of Newtown.

Local Attractions
The Annual Show and Sports is held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday.

Education
Pre-school children attend the local play groups, children up to 11 years attend Llanbister Primary School and children over 11 years attend Llandrindod Wells High School.

Local Business
The local business consists almost exclusively of agriculture.

Places of Worship
There are three places of worship within the Community.  St. Cynllo's Church and the Methodist Chapel are in the Village and the Baptist Chapel is 2 miles away at the Pound - on the B4356.
